"Yeah, pizza is a lot to make for yourself. Between work and everything else, when I do cook unless it's a special occasion it's 30 minutes or under meals." Cooking for or with someone else he counts as a special occasion. "I like to think I've taken stir fry to new and interesting places because of it."

He makes a considering look when she mentions the butter chicken. "Never had that before, but I'd try it. Buffalo chicken on pizza isn't bad, so butter chicken could also work." Although he has to be careful on the buffalo. His sensitive tastebuds mean what's minimal spice to others is quite spicy for him. "I'm pretty open on toppings, too. I like a good amount of veggies, and pineapple is welcome to the table. Eggs though I don't quite get. I don't hate it, but I can easily leave them off."

He hears her tone and places one hand over his heart, holding his other one up like he's swearing himself in on the stand. "I swear that people do it. Even had someone use a quail eggs once, because I guess that made it fancy. It's done sunny side up. It's not bad but yeah, it's not really my thing."

He steps back because he can hear kids coming, and he lets them step in front to get a good view of the turtle tank. A small smile comes to his face as he hears them excitedly talking, naming each one.

"Oh, there's lots of things. But it's more how something is made. Processed foods, ingredients that aren't good quality, foods that are over-salted or too spicy or with a pound of sugar in them... I avoid all that when I can. I guess the overly processed foods are the worst, though. When Foggy eats Cheetos at his desk it turns my stomach."

He nods at the display in front of him. "I think the kids are excited." It's cute to hear.

"Yeah. They're not as bad as hospitals, but Foggy snacking in close quarters is close." He says it with a teasing smile, because while his abilities do make things hard sometimes, he's not one to simply wallow over it. A lot of good comes from it, too. Or rather, he can do a lot of good. Some days are hard but it's still worth the while for him.

"On the flip side, it does make nice smells even more pleasant." He leans in to say quietly against her ear, "Like your perfume. It's a really nice scent. Some people end up reeking like they bathed in grandmother purses, so I'm glad yours doesn't."

He can sense the heat rising from her, the faint way she leans into him. Little elements that his senses can't help but detect. It warms him to know that these moments aren't unwanted on her end. He's many things, but he's not one to share personal space without encouragement.

"Yeah? I've never been to Paris." There are a lot of places he hasn't been. He's only really started traveling within the last few years. "What else did you take back from it? Please tell me the accent for awhile." The last part is said a bit teasingly.

He smiles in her direction, a lopsided grin, speaking back to her in French. His accent is nowhere near as good as hers, but otherwise it's passable. "Maybe you should speak French more often."

Dropping back to English he gives a small shrug of his shoulders. "I know mine's not nearly as good. Been awhile since I spoke it, I'm a little rusty." The last time had been with Elektra long ago. He uses Spanish much more frequently. Still, multiple languages had been part of the training started by Stick that he never fully abandoned.

"I've never milked a cow. Feels like all my quality creamers judge me a little for it." He does love making her smile, and finding out they have something in common. His expression shows a bit of a smug grin at the sound of her laugh, like he's accomplished something worthwhile. "We can now talk in French when we don't want those around us to know what we're saying. Or just to annoy them." He would absolutely tease Foggy by doing it.

"You have a nice laugh, you know."

"I didn't not mean Foggy," he admits sheepishly. It might not be the most mature of his life choices, but he still thinks it'd be a funny prank to pull on his friend. What else were best friends and law partners for, really? "I guess you're starting to know me pretty well." He doesn't hate that reality.

At the kiss to his cheek he slips an arm to settle around her waist. Her compliment earns a widened grin of his own. "Careful. Sweet talk like that and you'll make me blush." With his other hand he tentatively moves his fingers closer to her face, pausing before actually touching her. He wants to trace her mouth, to feel her smile. "May I?"

He always asks to make certain before doing anything so intimate. At her permission he gives a small nod and lets his fingertips brush against her face. He feels along the contours and angles, brushing back her hair, lingering on her lips. He can't help but smile a little as he does so. "See, I knew you had a beautiful smile."
