Texture and how it moves is the most important to me, yeah. Although of course, it matters if there's clashing patterns and styles to the outside world, so I've made friends with the workers at the clothing shops to ensure I look presentable.

I don't know if I have the time in the day to eat better. Right now though this does smell good. Shall we take this to the dining room table, the sofa, or what?

I do have color items as well, but I just have a very good tagging and organizational system at home so I know where everything is and what it is. It's a bit of a pain to set up at first, but now I can just feel in my closet and know which suit and shoes I'm pulling.

[He gives a nod and follows her to the sofa.]

A sofa is usually what I want at the end of the day, so that works for me.

Yeah, there are Braille labelers that make life a lot easier. I do it with food containers, too.

[His sense of smell makes deciphering foods a lot easier, but the labels don't hurt for the sake of appearance or when his powers are off due to sickness or injury.]

Stores should let you nap on their sofas to test them out, since that's the highest mark in quality.

[There's a momentary pause, then he curls his fingers to twine with hers for a few moments.]

Exactly. Nobody needs a neck-crick couch. Although I have rolled off my couch when I've fallen asleep. That's less the couch's fault, but still not my finest moment.

I did, with a bonked head and a bruised butt. I guess it was a good thing I was living alone so nobody else saw it and it was just my ego to remember it. Well, my ego and now you hearing it.

[With his free hand he finished his wine, pouring himself some more.]

It would feel in appropriate to show you the proof while we're having dinner, so you'll have to take my word that yeah, my butt's healed up nicely.

[He smiles and raises his glass, taking a sip before diving back into the meal.]

Yeah, I know we've eschewed some social traditions but I figured ass bearing was taking things a little too far.

These days? Actually yeah, this is pretty much how it goes. Maybe I should diversify my hobbies. Then again, if I keep meeting people like you, who am I to complain?

Nah, teaching takes a lot of brain power. Thinking needs calories. I remember always hearing to get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast on testing days for that reason.

Ha. No. I know someone who is a nurse, but you're the only one who's come out of retirement for the city. Although I suspect you never really stopped even if no you longer got paid for it.

I will accept that we both need more calories than we got and that it both matters. Even if I still think yours matters more than mine.

Salads and pastas are good choices though, so I can't knock that. Most nights my meals are thirty minute ones. I'm gonna brag and say they're still good, but nothing too fancy. I save those for when I have company or I'm stress cooking.

Meals that take more time to develop their flavors and also have more components to them to round out the dish. Curries, soups, roasted poultry and vegetables, braised meats, homemade pastas and slow-cooked sauces, things like that.

Hopefully there are some good surprises folded into the mix.

I guess it's a good way to ensure we each eat. We can hold one another accountable. Plus I can't complain about the company.
