How do you know I won't convince the cape that it doesn't need Strange and can stand on it's own tapestry? That Fantasia would have gone down differently if Mickey hadn't been able to command the brooms to start, but the brooms had the autonomy and rights to decide when to dust themselves?

You know when people do random shit like that I ask Frank if it's him just to annoy him. 'Hey, there's this criminal that uses stilts, or this guy who really loves animal balloons. Are you back in town?'

Not gonna lie, Daredevil having a haunted red cape as a sidekick would be pretty incredible. Do you think you could convince it to join your cause? [They should probably work on making more superhero allies instead of stealing their friends, but...] ... I'm sorry, what about Mickey and brooms?

If I did I don't remember it. But you always bring up cartoon movies. [Only then it hits her. It's probably because he was a kid and most of the movies he ever watched were meant for children.] Why was it so haunting?

... yeah. I guess those are the ones that stuck with me the most. Probably weird to talk about. Anyway, it just had some creepy visuals in it. Nothing big.

I'm not sure anyone actually 'hangs out' with Frank Castle.

Well, that pretty much sets up a plan for us then. The dogs in heaven movie and Fantasia and anything else that traumatized you during your childhood. [She's not sure if that helps. But it's better than watching something with him in which he misses on half the experience. At least going back through his memories, to the first time when he watched this, it all might be more fulfilling for him?

Nah, they're just kids movies. You're right. I didn't even realize I kept referencing them. It wasn't intentional.

Frank and Lucky would be hanging out. You'd just be there as Lucky's plus one.

It's a little embarrassing. I swear I've seen many movies since I was nine.

I know Frank's stopped a dog fighting ring, and he adopted a gang's guard dog for awhile. So yeah. I'd say he's a dog person. Only with the dogs being better behaved than he is.

He did. Max stayed with me a few times when he was traveling. Not that Frank asked, or I'd say I'm not babysitting a dog while he goes on a killing spree. I'd just have a dog turn up in my apartment until he picked him up again with a note saying to stop spoiling the mutt with homecooked meals. [Matt sounds a little disgruntled. Not over the dog, but over Frank being... Frank.] Then he found Max a family with kids.

... this does NOT make Frank cuddly, Kate. I can hear your voice. He's not.

All Dogs Go to Heaven and The Sword in the Stone were high on that list. I also really liked The Goonies. When I would get really frustrated as a kid my dad would always quote that movie. Murdocks never say die. It'd make me laugh. The Neverending Story. Princess Bride. The old Errol Flynn Robin Hood. Even as a kid I liked Star Trek. ... I know that's more than one, but that's what I remember the most. You?

Frank needs to be repeatedly knocked unconscious, you mean. A nap won't cure that insanity.

Oh, I think I watched The Sword in the Stone! And I loved The Princess Bride. But we're so going to have to watch The Goonies and the others, because I so need to learn those quotes. [She also wants to make Matt laugh.] Well, to me it was the other Robin Hood, the fox one. I probably watched most Robin Hood movies while growing up, but not that one. [Is that a fail? Probably.]

But I really loved Pirates of the Caribbean, Matilda, The Lion King, Mean Girls, Happy Feet, Shrek...

Not sure if your method is the best one, Matt. C'mon, even Karen says that deep down he is a good guy.

I read Matilda, if that counts? I was a fan of Dahl growing up. I do remember the fox Robin Hood, too. Maybe Shrek is where your love for donkeys came.

Frank is... Frank. I trust him not to hurt a dog. I don't trust him not to kill first and ask questions never.

As a kid who wanted to do nothing but read and fight, I think that'd be really sweet to build up their library. Maybe with some audiobooks, too. For those who have trouble reading. And I said I'd watch it! Do you have it?

Definitely some audiobooks too, yes. And some of those sensory ones will probably come handy, too. [She didn't want to do this just to please Matt. But Kate was genuinelly inspired by how he always encouraged ways to help others, in and out of the Daredevil suit.] I'm pretty sure it's on stream somewhere. I can set my accounts on your TV and we can watch it.

I can't believe you even hinted at him being anywhere close to Fisk!

I think that's a great idea for the kids. They'll appreciate it. Depending on the streaming service, I might have it. Foggy got me set up with a few. So I could watch Star Trek and some other shows. There's like twenty now though so yeah, I might not have the right one.

Frank is brutal, Kate. Yes, he has a code he lives by, but it's not... I won't pretend I haven't worked with him. I have. Do I trust him entirely, though? No. At the end of the day Frank is gonna do what he wants. And what he wants I don't always agree with. That's all.

Maybe that's why Matt's mad sometimes. He wants more for Frank than Frank seems to want for himself. Just like Matt's friends say about him being Daredevil.]

I'm sorry, do you hear me complaining? I like hearing you geek out. I totally shatters this picture of Daredevil being so scary and ruthless when I know he speaks alien languages. [Has she ever felt intimidated by him? No, never. But she has felt the hair on her arms come to a stand when the devil was let loose. It was truly impressive to see.

She was going to have to keep herself from laughing and ruining his moments if her memory betrayed her. What if her mind went back to this conversation in the middle of Matt beating up some bad guy?]
