I think anyone would be super happy to have a friendship as fraction of how close you guys were. [She missed seeing Matt and Foggy together almost as much as Foggy himself.]

You know... nothing that comes to mind? I'm actually pretty good at just following whims as they come to me. I've tried a lot of things. I actually started the violin at random in a subway station. [That was how Matt lived. Impetuously, without a care what people thought. He fell in love hard and fast, he tried something just because he could. It made him a jack of many trades and a master of just a few. Like his personal relationships, Matt dabbled but rarely committed.]

It won't be exactly the same, but it doesn't have to be to be meaningful.

My soap is hand crafted from the farmer's market, it's absolutely organic. Diego makes wonderful products, I should introduce you sometime. [Matt can now afford a life where he can buy farmer's market soap. It's not as ritzy as Kate's lifestyle, but it's definitely something Frank would sigh at. Matt doesn't care. He loves his hand crafted soap products that feel good on his sensitive skin.]

There was a guy playing, so I stopped to listen. He asked if I wanted to try it, so I said of course. First free mini-lesson on the spot. It was fun.

Thankfully I haven't been so sleepy I've taken on goat-stealing clients by mistake yet. They really drill it into you not to do that in law school.

Oddly enough, no. Not that everyone I've dated hasn't been in trouble with the law, but I don't think that's why they started dating me. I may have to go home and reflect for awhile now. What is animal yoga, then? Do they just run around while you're getting into poses?

Why Nate in particular?

I usually end up at Foggy's family for the holidays, so I just bring a dish or two to that. No, it's more... after a really long week to treat myself, or if I'm having someone special over, or if I go shopping at a place I love or somewhere new and get excited.

If everyone you dated had trouble with the law I'd start lying about my job. You know, just in case that's luring them out from under their rocks. [She teased him.] Pretty much. I have no idea why but someone started this trend. You do regular yoga but suddely there's a goat on your back.

I don't know, aside from him being the youngest... He just cracks me up with the things he comes up with. And watching his relationshop with Clint is like taking an arrow to the ovaries. It makes mine implode in the best of ways.

[She wonders if that's a tradition Matt kept even after Foggy's passing. Did he spent Christmas with the Nelsons?] I kinda love that. You getting so excited you spend hours in the kitchen just to treat yourself. Over the enjoyment of cooking.

Not everyone I've dated. Just, you know. More than one. I hope it's not a full-grown pig, then. That sounds like a back injury waiting to happen. I heard about cow therapy. You don't have to even do yoga, you can just hug them.

Clint does seem like a good dad. Very involved.

[Matt 100% still kept up the tradition. It was harder this year, but worth it. Foggy's family has long since thought of Matt as part of the family.] What's even better is when I get to share it with someone. So what's something extravagant you do for yourself as a treat?

Hey, I said 'if'! But the fact that you had to clarify, Matt... I'm joking, I'm joking! [Though, every time he mentions the variety of women he's dated, Kate is shocked by the numbers.] Oh, I've seen videos of cows asking to be petted and cuddled! It almost makes me feel guilty about how delicious they are!

Next time he invites me over you're coming and seeing it for yourself. Clint is the best dad to ever dad. Spends time with each kid and makes lists of fun things to do together. Sits down to help with homework. It's real sweet.

[The thing about Matthew is that he genuinelly cares and always makes great conversation. Even when things are focused on him, he turns the chat around to also learn about you.] Hmmm... Can't think of something that I do now. Maybe when I was younger and my coaches gave me a more strict diet. Every once in a while I would allow myself to eat whatever crap I wanted. [But suddenly:] Oh! Random trips!

See, now you're making me feel guilty for having made a steak salad the other night night for dinner when I was just thinking about hugging cows for therapy.

I absolutely want to see Clint try and help with homework. Not that I don't think he can do it, but some teachers want it done 'their way' and I can't see that going over well with him.

Random trips is a good one. Sometimes a change of scenery can really help a mindset.

Isn't that why people say grace and that sort of thing? We apologize to the cow we've wanted to pet and thank it for being so tender and juicy. And we feel like shit afterwards. But at least we thanked it!

Oh, I've seen him having a mild-meltdown over the way math is taught now, apparently. Laura was more patient than him at that. She really tried to get their oldest, Cooper, to spend more time with us. But I think he was kinda shy around me.

Where would you like to go if we could send everything to shit and leave tomorrow morning for a mini holiday?
